i played my first show on thursday. it went so well. we totally kicked fucking ass. singing in front of lots of people wasn't as scary as i expected it to be, and it was cool to overcome a life-long fear without having to be super fucked up. i wasn't even drunk, i just had a couple of beers.

so shit got complicated. it's confusing, i'm not sure how i should feel about what happened outside the other night. but whatever happens happens. but still. we're not going anywhere for a good while, and it just wasn't the right timing. i think he knew that too.

on another note, i miss josh. i hope those shows were worth a weekend of high intensity partying and really funny stories and sleepovers, bitch. pizza mania is by far the most awesome.
i am so god damn cold; it sleeted today. i mean, what the fuck, there's like flowers and buds and green stuff is starting to grow back. in any case, i haven't been able to get warm all day. fuck that shit. spring, where the fuck are you, you cunt?

josh and lauren and i are in a band. we're called terremotini, which means little earthquakes in italian, and in italy the word is also as slang for the word orgasm. josh played guitar and sang, lauren played the melodica, and then i sang too. our song is called the voyage of the dawn treader. (get the narnia reference, anyone?)
me and josh wrote another song tonight, too. we practiced for fucking hours while we chain smoked and drank beer. before that, we watched the simpsons and i did my homework on the first and second discourses by rousseau while drinking a tall boy. josh took me and kate out to lunch with his mom, who is hysterical and nagging and jewish. we ate sushi and drank barley tea.
the weather isn't that bad. it's been actually suprisingly warm here. the other day i only wore a sweater outside.

i got into a new class, a PHYSICS class note, called the fundamentals of natural philosophy. my teacher is actually a god, and i never want to leave the classroom. his name is dermot o'reilly, and the first time i met him, i was scared because he's this gruff, has a giant scar across the bottom of his lip, and a cranky irish man who seemed to have no sense of humor. then, when he saw that my last name was deutsch and he kind of mumbled and then made a joke about hitler. since then, i was hooked. sitting through 2 of his classes, i've learned these things listed, and more:
1.) it's not proven yet, but dermot thinks that maybe we didn't land on the moon. in fact, it's "highly unlikely". he listed various reasons of course, none of which really made any sense. but i did catch him say "waterhole", "japanese physicist" and "stanley kubrick".
2.) dermot loves dan quayle for all the stupid shit he's said on national television, and spent about 15 minutes of class reading some of the most impressively idiotic stuff dan quayle has said.
3.) he was in the army in ireland but joined because a.] he wanted to be an archaeologist and didn't have money to go to school and b.] because he wanted to make maps for a living too. he can make a map the old, ancient way. he "wasn't in it for too long, but i saw enough to mess me up". hah.
4.) he likes hitler jokes.
5.) he hand crafted a bow and arrow for his son. his 4 year old son. he had to confiscate it though because his son had remarkable accuracy for a child (who at that age is supposedly lacking the motor skills needed to operate such a weapon), and because it was a deadly weapon, of course.
6.) he also handmade his son a viking hat for christmas out of metal, leather and wooden carved horns- including a handcarved sword and sheild.
7.) he has a TON of scars and burns and stuff from working in "the lab". his experience in "the lab" includes mixing dangerous chemicals and the extrating of elements from potions for some scientific purpose, building engines for rockets, testing engines for rockets (which explains the battery acid burn) and hand crafting deadly assault weapons for his children.

yes, this is a real person.
my conclusion? he fucking rules and i can't wait until i have class again and he jumps up on a chair and throws stuff and talks about how he went to MIT and how he was in a war. fucking genius.

i have one year and fourteen days left of being a teenager.
i have a new little brother named leo. he's very small and very pretty.
i will be in los angeles on the 16th of december to celebrate the winter holidays.
i cut my finger in painting class today, and there was oil paint and blood kind of all over everything.
over thanksgiving, my obsession with both kiki smith and richard diebenkorn reached all time highs.

in my mind's eye i've always known what it would have looked like.

i miss you already.

i've decided what powers i want, supposing i could only have one. and this would be if flying was already taken by someone else, assuming it would be. i want to be able to grow plants out of everything. anywhere i wanted. giant trees that grow around noisy people. i could also make a swing bed out of vines and moss and clovers and flowers. but mainly just grow stuff around people i don't like.

tonight i baked cookies with molly and daniel and made neon colored frosting for whatever reason. then while me and molly were chain smoking in her room, daniel covered us in toilet paper, and salivated all over everything. molly's room is fucking disgusting so i'm cleaning it for her tomorrow. like, shit is growing on her bedside table, i'm not even joking. it's disgusting.
but then i got my check from my mom(!!!!) and i'm opening my bank account tomorrow, and then buying a ticket to evergreen to see my baby. on that note:
